Last weekend, the Italian F.4 Championship stopped at the Autodromo Piero Taruffi in Vallelunga for the second of seven rounds on the calendar, as part of the ACI Racing Weekend. A total of 40 drivers took part, representing 27 different nationalities and entered by 12 teams. These figures once again required a format with qualifying and the first three races split into groups, to determine the 36 drivers admitted to the final.

Kean Nakamura-Berta strengthened his lead in the overall standings with a total of 125 points. The Slovak-Japanese driver from Prema Racing secured two victories on Saturday, scoring 50 points over the weekend. However, a collision with teammate and main rival Sebastian Wheldon in the final forced him to restart from the back, eventually finishing eleventh and out of the points. Despite this zero, Wheldon retains second place with 96 points, thanks to his second place in Race 2 and a comeback win in Race 3, which he started from fourth on the grid.

Brazil’s Gabriel Gomez is the new entry among the frontrunners. Representing US Racing, he achieved the highest score of the round with 55 points, thanks to two third places in the first two races and a brilliant win in the final. Adding these to his results from Misano, third in the opening race and sixth in the next, Gomez climbs to 78 points, claiming third place in the championship.

Fourth is Maksimilian Popov, racing for Van Amersfoort Racing, who returned to the podium in Vallelunga with third place in Race 3, following two second-place finishes in the opening round. He now sits at 71 points.

Just one point behind is Salim Hanna. The Colombian driver from Prema Racing finished third in the final, once again proving competitive in both the overall and Rookie classifications, and reaching 70 points. The same tally was also reached by Emanuele Olivieri, the Italian representative of R-ace GP, who finished ahead of him in the final with an excellent second place, the result of a challenging but steadily improving weekend.

Salim Hanna also leads the Rookie standings with 135 points, the result of two wins (Race 1 and the final) and a fifth place. Behind him, new contenders are emerging in the class: Artem Severiukhin, racing for Jenzer Motorsport, is now second with 103 points, followed by Marcus Saeter of Van Amersfoort Racing with 91. The two shared the remaining wins of the weekend. Meanwhile, Newman Chi of Prema Racing drops to fourth with 81 points, just ahead of teammate Oleksandr Bondarev, also part of the Williams Driver Academy, who shares fifth place with Dante Vinci of Van Amersfoort Racing, both on 67 points.

In the Woman Trophy, Emily Cotty of R-ace GP leads the way, followed by Payton Westcott of Van Amersfoort Racing and Kornelia Olkucka, driving for Maffi Racing.

Among the teams, Prema Racing continues to dominate the Team Trophy with 290 points. US Racing holds second place with 122, followed by R-ace GP with 110, Van Amersfoort Racing with 104, and Jenzer Motorsport closing out the top five with 61 points.
